Fabric & Colour
A radiant Tissue Zari Chanderi Silk Saree woven in shimmering hues of blue and green, recalling the serene union of sky and earth. The interplay of colour and metallic glow creates a drape that is at once tranquil and luminous.
Inspiration Story
Raga Draya draws its essence from the classical Indian tradition where ragas embody moods, times of day, and the essence of nature. Draya, meaning “flow” or “current,” captures the movement of melody as well as water. This saree reflects the gentle rhythm of a monsoon raga—blue as the rain-laden sky, green as the flourishing earth it touches. To wear this saree is to carry a harmony of colours, a living symphony woven in silk and zari.
Weave Technique & Craft Details
Crafted in the famed Chanderi weaving tradition, this saree balances lightness with richness. The combination of tissue threads, zari, and silk results in a fabric that seems almost weightless yet gleams with a subtle, golden aura. The stripes of blue and green are arranged with great precision on the loom, while the zari lends depth and dimension. This weaving technique, preserved for centuries in the town of Chanderi, is both delicate and exacting, requiring dexterous hands and unwavering attention.
